Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Primary Schools across Oldham. You will work with class teachers to help deliver engaging lessons, support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

We welcome candidates with experience in schools or childcare and a passion for helping children learn. A Level 2/3 TA qualification is helpful but not essential; roles include day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school, childcare, or similar setting.
• Passion for supporting children's learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, supportive, and proactive in class.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assist with preparation of learning resources and classroom materials.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, engagement, and progress across the curriculum.
