Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Planning Enforcement Officer on a 12-month maternity cover. You will investigate alleged breaches of planning control, assess evidence, visit sites and negotiate proportionate enforcement actions to protect local amenity and sustainable development.

You will prepare reports and notices, liaise with applicants and partners, and contribute to prosecution files where necessary. A full UK driving licence is required for site visits across Wiltshire.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning enforcement or regulatory investigation.
• Ability to apply legislation and policy fairly and proportionately.
• Strong communication, report writing and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to conduct site visits across Wiltshire.
• Organised and able to manage a varied caseload.

Responsibilities
