Caritas Recruitment is actively seeking Personal Advisors for Croydon's Leaving Care Service. You will build relationships with care leavers, assess needs, and advocate for access to housing, education, training and employment opportunities.

You will guide young people through independence, provide practical support, and collaborate with a network of professionals to foster positive outcomes up to age 25.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, care leavers or vulnerable adolescents.
• Understanding of challenges faced by young people transitioning to independence.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience of assessment, planning and support work.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and statutory responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
• Passion for empowering young people to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Completing assessments and developing Pathway Plans tailored to individual needs.
• Supporting young people with housing, education, training and employment opportunities.
• Providing advice and guidance around independent living skills.
• Meeting regularly with care leavers to review progress and identify further support needs.
• Acting as an advocate to help young people access services and overcome barriers.
• Working in partnership with professionals, agencies and support networks.
• Promoting positive outcomes and helping young people achieve their goals.
• Continuing to provide support to care leavers up to the age of 25 where required.
