Job summary

Caritas Recruitment is actively seeking Personal Advisors for Croydon's Leaving Care Service. You will build relationships with care leavers, assess needs, and advocate for access to housing, education, training and employment opportunities.

You will guide young people through independence, provide practical support, and collaborate with a network of professionals to foster positive outcomes up to age 25.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, care leavers or vulnerable adolescents.
• Understanding of challenges faced by young people transitioning to independence.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience of assessment, planning and support work.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and statutory responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
• Passion for empowering young people to achieve positive outcomes.

Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for dedicated and passionate Personal Advisors to support young people transitioning from care into independent adulthood within Croydon's Leaving Care Service.

The Role

As a Personal Advisor, you will work closely with young people leaving care, providing practical guidance, emotional support and advocacy throughout their journey to independence.

You will be responsible for developing positive relationships, assessing individual needs and ensuring young people have access to appropriate services and opportunities.
