Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Coylton is recruiting a Residential Childcare Worker Nights to support young people in a warm, home-like setting. You will help with daily routines, preparing for school, meals, and activities.

Full UK driving licence required. Salary ranges from £27,976 unqualified to £32,510 with SVQ/HNC; progression and benefits available, including bonuses and PVG costs covered. This is a rewarding role in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred or maybe you have cared for a friend or family member
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
• Desire to work towards SSSC qualifications
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Open to ongoing development and learning with help from your friendly team
• Someone with the desire to take pride in helping others.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, getting them ready for school, meal prep and activities
• Ensure the highest level of support for children
• Provide updates to senior staff in a timely manner
• Promote individuality and a personalised approach
• Assist with light housekeeping to maintain a warm home environment
• Build strong relationships and provide emotional support
• Plan and join activities like trips, movie nights and creative projects
