Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Galston is seeking a Residential Childcare Worker for night shifts to support young people with daily routines, schooling prep and engaging activities.

No prior experience required; full induction and training provided. You’ll build trusting relationships, document care, and contribute to a safe, supportive home environment.

Role: Residential Childcare Worker - Nights

Location:Galston

Pay:£27,976 to £32,510.40depending on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

As a support worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also:

• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping

• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
