Job summary

Octopus Energy Group’s OEGEN Funds Finance team seeks a Management Accountant to oversee financial reporting for a growing portfolio of renewable assets across the UK, US, Europe, Australia and Asia. You will manage external accounting partners, ensure high‑quality management accounts, and support quarterly valuations.

You’ll partner with commercial asset managers and internal teams to improve information flows, maintain controls, and deliver clear investor reports and board commentary.

Qualifications

• Must have strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and be able to complete and review consolidations.
• Experience working with external accounting teams and managing stakeholder relationships is essential.
• Role requires ability to deliver timely, accurate management and investor reporting with clear commentary.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge management accounts provided by external accountants.
• Prepare and present financial performance at monthly and quarterly meetings.
• Ensure financial information and commentary is accurately presented in investor reports and board materials.
• Manage relationships with external accountants and internal stakeholders to improve information flows.
• Assist with quarterly valuations and the onboarding of new investments into OEGEN’s finance processes.
• Contribute to audits and financial due diligence for asset sales and acquisitions.
• Support robust internal controls and compliance with UK GAAP and tax rules.
