Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Preston. The role is full-time on a temporary-to-permanent basis, starting September 2026 or ASAP, with a competitive daily rate dependent on experience.

You will support pupils aged 4–16 with EHCPs and various needs, assist in lessons, and work with therapists and staff to promote development and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Encouraging pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils reach individual goals.
• Supporting pupils with communication, independence, and personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team.
