Job summary

The Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich is seeking a dedicated Family Liaison Officer to support students and their families within a dynamic school community.

You will work closely with our Attendance and Year/Pastoral Teams to identify students most at risk of missing education and provide bespoke support. This role requires safeguarding commitment, DBS clearance, and a proactive, flexible approach to term-time hours (32.5 per week) with some pattern adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting families in challenging circumstances.
• Ability to engage with young people and families.
• Strong communication and collaboration with school teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify students and families most at risk of missing out on education and offer bespoke support packages.
• Collaborate with Attendance and Year/Pastoral Teams to implement tailored interventions.
• Support safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring DBS disclosure is completed.
• Assist with start dates and transition planning for students returning after breaks or exclusions.
