Job summary

Farleigh School is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join the Learning Support team in our vibrant Prep school. You will help pupils access the curriculum, supporting them 1:1 and in small groups to develop independence and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role is full-time, term-time only, Monday to Friday 8:00am–3:30pm. Applicants may indicate preferred hours. Training to support student needs is encouraged and experience in education is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting pupils with SEND and wellbeing needs.
• Commitment to participate fully in all areas of school life.
• Prepared to undertake additional training to support student needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND and their emotional wellbeing under guidance of teachers.
• Implement strategies from pupil's Education Plan with teachers.
• Assist in individual or small-group activities following teacher guidance.
• Foster pupil independence and social development within school life.
• Monitor progress and report to teachers and Head of LS.
• Promote inclusive interactions and safeguarding compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide necessary support.
