Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join Havering, East London schools from September 2026. You will work closely with pupils to help them reach their potential in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group support for Year 7-11, assisting the class teacher, supporting children with additional needs (EHCPs), and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing. DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

Qualifications

• Patient, empathetic and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils Year 7-11
• Assist the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
• Support children with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals.
