Job summary

Randstad Education in Bodmin is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor for a full-time, long-term role supporting students who have faced challenges in mainstream education. You will use community-based learning to foster self-esteem, coping skills, and academic re-engagement.

You will work across Primary and Secondary settings, engaging with parents, carers, and local services to provide tailored pastoral support. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Experience with SEMH/SEN or vulnerable youth preferred.
• Excellent communication, patience, empathy and strong behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Re-engage students by developing and implementing personalised strategies to help them return to the classroom.
• Lead community-based learning visits and activities across Bodmin to promote practical learning.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, social workers and local agencies for pastoral support.
• Provide targeted interventions across Primary or Secondary phases based on experience.
