Job summary

SeeMeHired is seeking a caring Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in the community and in their homes in Huddersfield. You will use PMVA techniques to de-escalate challenging behaviours and maintain detailed digital records while supporting daily living skills and independence.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities in homes and community.
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities to build independence and social confidence.
• Support daily living skills including meals, shopping, and routines.
• Apply PMVA techniques to safely manage challenging behaviours.
• Maintain accurate digital care notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDTs to achieve positive outcomes.
