Job summary

SeeMeHired is seeking a caring Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in the community. You will provide person-centred support in homes and local settings, promoting independence and social confidence.

With PMVA de-escalation training and a calm, resilient approach, you will maintain accurate digital records, collaborate with families and MDTs, and support daily living tasks such as meals, routines, and nutrition.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to support individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and MDTs.
• Experience promoting independence in daily living, routines, meals and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in homes and community settings.
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities to build independence and social confidence.
• Support daily living skills including meals, shopping, routines and nutrition.
• Apply PMVA techniques and de-escalation to manage behaviours safely.
• Maintain accurate digital care notes, risk assessments and incident reports.
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDTs to achieve positive outcomes.
