Job summary

SeeMeHired in the United Kingdom is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in home and community settings.

You will plan engaging activities, support daily living skills, and work with families and MDTs, using PMVA techniques and accurate digital care notes. Experience in health and social care and a valid UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• PMVA training and strong de-escalation skills.
• Experience promoting independent living skills and routines.
• Confidence using digital care planning systems for record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in homes and local community.
• Plan and facilitate engaging, structured activities to build independence and social confidence.
• Support daily living skills including meal planning, shopping, dietary needs and personal routines.
• Apply PMVA techniques and de-escalation strategies to safely manage challenging behaviours.
• Maintain accurate and professional digital care notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with families, carers, and MDTs to ensure positive outcomes.
