Job summary

Resourcing Group is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a specialist children's short-break service in Shrewsbury, offering respite stays for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities.

The role focuses on child-centred care, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and leading a skilled team to plan admissions and audits, with a salary in the £50,000–£55,000 range and generous leave and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' management experience within the last 5 years as Deputy Manager or Registered Manager in a children's home or service.
• Good understanding of Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child-protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support an experienced staff team to deliver high-quality, individualized care.
• Ensure admissions and short-break stays are planned around each child's needs and wishes.
• Collaborate with families, social workers, schools and healthcare professionals.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and respond to safeguarding concerns promptly.
