Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager for Children with Disabilities to provide operational leadership across the Children with Disabilities Service, primarily based in Suffolk with sites in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich. The role requires 3–4 days per week on-site, overseeing the Activities Unlimited Short Breaks Service and leading an established improvement programme.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience within Children’s Services.
• Experience leading service improvement and change initiatives.
• Strong budget and performance management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across the Children with Disabilities Service.
• Lead the development of the Activities Unlimited Short Breaks Service.
• Drive service improvement and practice development.
• Support and challenge practice to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Engage, motivate and support teams through organisational change.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and project teams to deliver priorities.
• Contribute to budget management and ensure financial efficiency.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and governance meetings.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
