Job summary

St Brendan's Sixth Form College is seeking Inclusive Learning Assistants to join our expanding Inclusive Learning Team. You will support students with additional needs to participate in learning and college life, working closely with teachers, families and external professionals.

Roles are up to 35 hours per week, permanent, term-time only. We encourage applications from individuals with education, youth work or care experience who want to make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to students with additional educational needs, helping them access learning and develop independence.
• Work in small groups, one-to-one, during enrichment and wider college activities, including unstructured times.
• Support EHCPs and help students develop strategies to improve learning, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure full access to the curriculum and contribute to planning and review of support programmes.
• Promote inclusion in academic and social settings and support literacy, numeracy and study skills.
• Act as a keyworker for identified students and assist with examination support arrangements.
