Job summary

LATCH, a Leeds-based charity, is hiring Housing Support Workers to join a close-knit team. The roles offer flexible hours (37, 30, or 22.5 per week) and involve managing active caseloads of tenants with complex needs to promote independence and stable housing.

You will build supportive relationships, help with tenancy and finances, and collaborate with partners. A full UK driving licence and vehicle are required; salary is £29,077 per annum pro rata, with 5% pension and 25 days leave.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience working as a Support Worker.
• Experience managing an active caseload of people with multiple and complex needs.
• Experience building and maintaining effective support relationships.
• Knowledge of welfare rights and benefits.
• Understanding safeguarding principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete housing and support needs assessments and contribute to housing offers.
• Develop, implement and review individual support plans using the Outcomes Star.
• Help tenants establish and maintain tenancies and reduce homelessness risk.
• Support with budgeting, paying bills, meals, and home management.
• Assist tenants to access welfare benefits and maximise income.
• Support access to community activities, volunteering, training and employment.
• Complete risk assessments and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Collaborate with partner organisations and attend multidisciplinary meetings.
• Prepare tenants for independent living and report repairs as needed.
• Maintain confidential case records and contribute to service outcomes.
