Job summary

Harris Primary Academy Shortlands is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning and assist pupils across a range of needs. The role is based on a 37.5 hour week, over 39 weeks per year, with the stated salary of £26,129.22.

Candidates should hold GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), together with knowledge of learning barriers and experience in supporting children with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of a range of learning barriers, including special needs.
• Experience of contributing to and assessing provision for children with a range of needs.
• Some knowledge of social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• At least two years' school based experience as a TA, or equivalent.
