Job summary

MetLife UK is seeking a Group Income Protection Claims Handler/Assessor on the GCSO team to assess and settle claims end-to-end. You will communicate with policyholders and intermediaries and maintain relationships with reinsurers and underwriters.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Group Income Protection claims.
• Ability to make decisions within authority.
• Knowledge of Medical or Scheme Underwriting would be beneficial.
• Ability to evaluate AI outputs with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and settle Group Income Protection claims end-to-end.
• Maintain professional communication with policyholders, clients and intermediaries.
• Manage claims portfolio relationships and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims and investigate appropriately.
• Collaborate with underwriters and external service providers to obtain information.
