Job summary

Step-Forward Fostering is seeking approved Foster Carers to welcome a child or siblings into a home, providing care, stability and guidance during a pivotal transition from residential care. You will help children stay connected to their community, schools and families while developing confidence and skills for the future.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy to support children transitioning from care.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to provide full-time care with a dedicated bedroom for fostering.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care.
• Offer stability, routine and reassurance to fostered children.
• Support emotional, behavioural and social development in collaboration with professionals.
• Maintain clear records and provide therapeutic, nurturing support.
• Ensure the child maintains links with wider family.
