Job summary

Step-Forward Fostering is recruiting a Step-Forward Foster Carer to welcome a child or sibling group into your home and provide care, stability and guidance during a pivotal time in their lives. The role supports children leaving residential care to stay connected with their community, schools, friends, and family.

Applicants are welcomed from individuals or couples who are 21+, have the right to work in the UK, can provide full-time care, have a spare bedroom, and have experience supporting

Qualifications

• Experience with supporting children, young people, or adults with complex needs or challenging behaviours.
• Patience, empathy and ability to provide a caring, dependable home.

Responsibilities

• Full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care.
• Offer continued stability, routine, and reassurance.
• Support the child's emotional, behavioural, and social development.
• Work closely with social workers, therapists and other professionals.
• Keep clear records and provide therapeutic, nurturing support.
• Ensure the child can maintain important links to their wider family.
