Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a Learning Support Specialist - Literacy & Numeracy for a role at Cheadle College, Greater Manchester. You will support learners with SEND, deliver targeted interventions in English and maths, and help students achieve Functional Skills and employability outcomes.

The role offers full-time/part-time hours, temporary/term-time contracts, and competitive hourly pay of £13–£15 depending on role and experience. DBS checks apply and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND in educational settings.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt learning strategies to individual needs.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support in English, maths, literacy, and numeracy.
• Deliver targeted interventions to improve reading, writing, spelling, and mathematical understanding.
• Support learners in developing Functional Skills and everyday numeracy.
• Adapt learning materials and support strategies to meet individual learner needs.
• Support learners with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and communication difficulties.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
