Job summary

Service Care is recruiting for a Family Service Worker to support children and families. The role involves flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, across our client locations.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business-use insurance are essential to travel to families and community venues. You will work with Children’s Services and partner agencies to deliver evidence-based programmes, assess family needs, and provide timely, outcome-focused interventions while

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people and families.
• Experience delivering interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential records.
• Understanding of child development, safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to work across services with professionals from different agencies.
• Flexible, organised and adaptable to competing demands.
• Resilience to manage emotionally demanding situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and delivering high service standards.
• Willingness to undertake training and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated, evidence-based support programmes with Children’s Services and partner agencies.
• Identify families who may be experiencing difficulties and provide timely interventions.
• Undertake holistic assessments of family circumstances and plan outcomes.
• Plan, deliver, monitor and review individual programmes of support.
• Empower families to develop skills, strengthen relationships and achieve positive change.
• Work with vulnerable families to ensure children receive appropriate support.
• Produce accurate, timely written observations to inform care planning and decisions.
