Job summary

Aspire People Limited partners with a welcoming primary school in Didsbury to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant for their Reception team from September.

You will support children with emerging barriers to learning, including suspected Autism and mild learning difficulties, helping them thrive through play-based and adult-led activities in a caring classroom setting.

The role is full-time, term-time only, 8:20am-3:30pm, with potential for a permanent placement and strong leadership support.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is required.
• Recent experience supporting children in an EYFS setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
• Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with young children.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, learning needs or SEND is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils to support children with emerging SEND needs and barriers to learning.
• Enable pupils to access learning through play-based and adult-led activities.
• Develop positive peer relationships, communication and social interaction skills.
• Build confidence, independence and resilience within the classroom.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive learning behaviours.
