Job summary

First Bus is seeking a Programme Coordinator to join its Decarbonisation team in the UK. You will help coordinate activities across projects, engage stakeholders and support governance, reporting and budgeting to help deliver a zero-emission fleet by 2035.

The role involves travel across the UK (~2 days/week) and working with a range of internal teams to drive one of the industry’s most ambitious decarbonisation programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator, PMO Support or similar role.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident with data, reports and presentations.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong MS 365 skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and tracking of activities across multiple projects.
• Build strong relationships and ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and updates.
• Maintain programme reporting, milestones, risks and actions, providing insights for decision-making.
• Support budget tracking, grant administration and supplier performance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support transition to zero-emission operations.
