Job summary

First Bus is seeking a proactive Programme Coordinator to support its decarbonisation initiative across multiple projects, coordinating activities, tracking milestones and engaging stakeholders. You will work within a growing team delivering the UK's largest bus decarbonisation programme with a target of a zero-emission fleet by 2035.

The role requires strong organisational, communication, and MS 365 skills, with a willingness to learn and coordinate with varied teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator, PMO Support or similar role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence working with data, reports and presentations.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Programme Coordination & Delivery: Supporting planning, coordination and tracking of activities across multiple projects to keep the decarbonisation programme on track.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communications: Building relationships across the business and keeping stakeholders informed of progress and updates.
• Programme Governance, Reporting & Performance: Maintaining reporting, tracking milestones, risks and actions; providing insights for decisions.
• Financial, Funding & Supplier Support: Supporting budget tracking, grant administration and supplier performance.
• Continuous Improvement & Operational Readiness: Identifying process improvements and supporting transition to zero-emission operations.
