Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst in the Trust & Fiduciary Services Channel Islands (TFS CI) Risk and Control team. You will conduct first line of defence assurance testing to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and Group standards, analysing processes and controls.

The role involves working with senior risk owners, performing RCAs and continuous monitoring, developing risk management frameworks, and supporting training across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven background of working at this level in Risk, Audit, Assurance or Governance.
• Excellent attention to detail and experience delivering gap analyses.
• Experience implementing policies, governance frameworks, procedures and standards for regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and spoken communication with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive and flexible in approach.
• Discretion due to access to sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Review risks and key controls through end-to-end walkthroughs and reviews.
• Provide oversight of RCAs and Continuous Monitoring through Helios and control monitoring.
• Participate in development and implementation of risk management frameworks and validate control design and operation.
• Track and escalate actions from monitoring, reporting progress to the Chief Control Officer.
• Coordinate and oversee training sessions for colleagues.
