Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Continuous Monitoring in the Trust & Fiduciary Services Channel Islands Risk and Control team. You will perform first line of defence assurance testing, review risks and controls, and collaborate with senior risk owners to ensure robust control environments.

This role emphasizes data-led analysis, governance alignment, and proactive risk culture across local and global scopes.

Qualifications

• Proven background of working at this level in relevant environments such as Risk, Audit, Assurance and/or Governance
• Excellent attention to detail, experience delivering gap analysis
• Experience contributing to the monitoring and implementation of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
• Strong written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing stakeholders, via compelling, data-led discussion and presentation
• Independent, pro-active, and flexible in your way of working
• Discretion, as you’ll have access to sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, staying up to date with business, regulatory, and industry changes
• Review of risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events or thematic reviews, data-driven reviews or issue read across, and evidence reviews
• Provide oversight of appropriate controls requiring Risk Control Assessments (RCAs) and Continuous Monitoring Assessments through Helios with Risk and control monitoring, control assurance, country risk assessments, risk logging/tracking, incident reporting and Management Information
• Participate in the development and implementation of future-fit risk management frameworks and validate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation
• Track and follow up on actions from continuous monitoring and review work, escalating issues when needed and reporting progress to the Chief Control Officer.
• Coordinate and possess oversight of training sessions to colleagues in the business where needed
