Belfast City Council's Growing Communities programme seeks a proactive Project Coordinator to drive community growing projects across Belfast. You will engage residents, community groups and partners to foster participation in parks, allotments and green spaces.

The role includes budgeting, risk assessments and team supervision, with training support for facilitators. The position is temporary, based in Belfast City Centre, with 37 hours per week and £18.85 per hour (PAYE).

Qualifikationen

• Experience with environmental, horticultural or community growing projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects or services and events to deadlines.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Budget and resource management capability.
• Ability to work with elected members and partners on sensitive issues.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate overall management of community growing projects.
• Build community involvement from information to participation.
• Plan work programmes and monitor progress.
• Organise events and coordinate with Marketing & Communications.
• Supervise horticultural tasks on site with parks management.
• Train facilitators to deliver sessions to schools and groups.
• Build partnerships with external organisations to deliver projects.
• Manage project budgets and report to the budget holder.
• Oversee staff, volunteers, tools and equipment; carry out risk assessments.
