Job summary

Esland Group in Weldon is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team and help change children’s lives through high-quality care. You will work as part of a professional, nurturing team providing therapeutic, EBD and complex trauma support services.

Responsibilities include contributing to care plans, building strong relationships with young people and families, maintaining records, supporting education plans, and ensuring the home is clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable) or willingness to undertake this qualification.
• Experience in a children's home setting (highly desirable).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
• Form effective relationships with young people, their families and external agencies.
• Keep the home clean and tidy, adhere to the cleaning rota and involve young people.
• Maintain high-quality records with supervision and guidance from shift/Managers.
• Promote residential care professionalism and Ofsted standards.
• Support educational and social development of each young person and assist with Education Programs.
• Meet emotional and physical needs and maximise development opportunities.
