Job summary

The Together Trust is recruiting a Child and Adolescent Therapist (EMDR and/or CBT) to join the team at Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport. You will deliver CBT and/or EMDR to students with emotional/mental health needs, collaborating with parents and carers and providing proactive, timetabled support.

The role involves handling a caseload, applying evidence-based treatments, and contributing to a multidisciplinary approach in a safeguarding-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Qualification - Individual accreditation with BACP, HCPC, BABCP, EMDR Europe or other recognised governing body.
• Postgraduate diploma in CBT or EMDR UK standard accredited training which is EMDR Europe compliant.
• Substantial and recent CBT/EMDR experience with autistic individuals.
• Experience involving parents/ carers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to improving outcomes and quality of life for young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide CBT and/or EMDR therapy to referred students at Inscape House School.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes with groups and individuals.
• Modify formulations and treatments to suit individual needs.
• Apply evidence-based practice and critically evaluate treatment approaches.
• Respond to the needs of children who have experienced trauma.
• Support students with phobias, anxiety, and attendance issues.
