Job summary

Timeout Children’s Homes is seeking a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic support to children and young people in care and those attending specialist schools.

This role focuses on supporting individuals who may present with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs, including trauma-related difficulties, anxiety, depression, and neurodevelopmental differences.

Qualifications

• Accredited BABCP CBT therapist.
• Postgraduate qualification in CBT.
• Desirable: training in trauma-focused CBT or related approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual CBT assessments and interventions to children and young people in care and specialist educational settings.
• Develop and implement formulation-driven treatment plans based on CBT models.
• Work collaboratively with carers, teachers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure integrated support.
• Provide psychoeducation and consultation to school staff and care teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
• Contribute to safeguarding processes and risk management planning.
• Participate in clinical supervision and continuing professional development.
