Job summary

Sheffield City Council invites applications for a Project Manager in Building Safety. You will lead and deliver complex projects to ensure residents are safe, compliant and that regulatory standards are met.

Working across Housing, Asset Management and Compliance, you will manage budgets, risks and governance, coordinating with technical specialists, contractors and stakeholders to drive improvements in building safety and compliance across the Council’s housing stock.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering projects in complex environments.
• Experience or knowledge in building safety, compliance, construction, asset management, fire safety, health and safety, housing maintenance, property services or related disciplines.
• Comfort translating regulatory requirements into well-managed projects and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery and monitoring of projects and programmes.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and governance arrangements.
• Work with technical specialists, suppliers and contractors to develop and deliver effective solutions.
• Manage project budgets and support value-for-money delivery.
• Produce reports, business cases, project documentation and updates for governance boards and senior stakeholders.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful delivery.
