Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting for Best Start Inclusion Practitioner roles across Lancashire, including Preston, Rossendale and Ribble Valley. The posts are full-time, 37 hours per week, on a temporary contract until June 2029.

You will work within the Early Help Service, supporting children aged 0–5 with special educational needs or other vulnerabilities. The role focuses on early years development, partnership working, and delivering support to families in our Family Hubs Network.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children aged 0–5.
  • Ability to work with families and professionals.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging group sessions for families and children.
  • Offer hands-on advice and guidance to parents and professionals.
