Job summary

Blackpool Council is recruiting Best Start Inclusion Practitioners to join the Early Help workforce within the Best Start Family Hubs. You will support babies and young children, identify needs, promote inclusion and connect families to services across health, education and community settings.

The role involves working across family hubs, community venues, early years settings and family homes to provide practical and flexible help, strengthening family resilience and ensuring better outcomes

Qualifications

Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Child Development, Education, Health, SEND or related field.
Experience working with children aged 0–5 years and their families.
Experience supporting children with additional needs and SEND.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to undertake whole family assessments and contribute to family plans.
Willingness to work collaboratively with families and partner agencies.
Commitment to inclusion and early intervention.

Responsibilities

Provide practical, flexible and responsive support to families with children aged 0–5 years.
Identify emerging needs, promote inclusion and help families access the right support and services.
Work closely with parents, carers and professionals across health, education and early help services to improve outcomes for children and strengthen family resilience.
