Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking passionate Best Start Inclusion Practitioners to join our Best Start Family Hub network across Derbyshire. You will support families with children aged 0-5, identifying needs early, guiding families to services, and delivering drop-ins and short workshops in community settings and Family Hubs.

You'll work collaboratively with health services, early years providers and SEND teams to provide joined-up support, build trusted relationships, and help improve

Qualifications

• Experience with young children and families.
• Knowledge of SEND and inclusion.
• Understanding of child development.
• Experience in community settings.
• Level 3 qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Early Identification: identify developmental or emerging needs early through observations and family engagement.
• Family Navigation: help families understand and navigate local services including inclusion pathways, financial support and community resources.
• Joined-Up Working: collaborate with health services, early years providers, SEND teams and partners to provide joined up support.
• Direct Support: offer drop-ins, short-term workshops and family sessions at Family Hubs and across the Best Start network.
