Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support children and young people across primary and secondary schools in the Lancashire area. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group mentoring using sport and activities to foster positive behaviours and emotional resilience.

Ideal candidates have coaching or youth work experience, strong communication, and the ability to build positive relationships while maintaining boundaries. Long-term opportunities available with competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or youth settings.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships and engage pupils.
• Strong communication and behaviour support skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring
• Supporting pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs
• Using sport and activities to build positive relationships
• Acting as a positive role model for pupils
• Supporting emotional regulation and confidence
• Helping pupils develop teamwork, resilience and communication skills
• Encouraging pupils to engage positively with education
• Supporting behaviour strategies and school expectations
• Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and SENCOs
• Supporting pupils during lessons, breaks and extracurricular activities
