Create is seeking a dynamic, person-centred Project Manager based in Greater Manchester with significant experience in managing creative arts projects in education and community settings.

This full-time, Greater Manchester-based position would suit someone with extensive project management experience gained in the arts or charity sector, and a firm belief in the power of the arts as a transformational tool in challenging community settings.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience in the arts or charity sector.
• Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, persuasively and empathetically with vulnerable groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, management and rigorous evaluation of a portfolio of creative arts projects in community settings.
• Line manage freelance professional artists and freelance project managers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community sector/voluntary organisations and partners.
• Manage projects onsite in challenging settings (schools, hospitals, day centres, prisons, etc.).
• Oversee recruitment and management of freelance artists; collaborate with the project team.
• Oversee data collection, monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality and efficiency of service delivery.
• Induct and oversee volunteers on projects.
