Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is recruiting a 111 Health Advisor to be the patients' first point of contact, assessing symptoms and providing reassurance. The role offers paid training, progression to Band 4 after 18 months, and a mix of full/part-time rotas in a busy IUC environment.

Starting salary from £25,760 to £27,476 per annum with enhancements for unsocial hours; training lasts nine weeks full time, after which a permanent contract is issued.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with empathy.
• Able to handle emotional calls professionally.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts including public holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assess symptoms and provide appropriate advice and reassurance.
• Act as patients' first point of contact in 111 calls.
• Use specialist software to triage and route calls.
• Support Team Leaders in call centre operations.
