Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service is hiring a dedicated Health Advisor Call Handler. You will support callers with empathy, communicate clearly, and use computerised systems to assist the public during emergencies. No medical background required, just a genuine desire to help and strong people skills.

Starting at £13.17 per hour with NHS enhancements and options for full-time or part-time shifts, plus benefits such as parking, pension, and leave. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • 2 GCSEs or equivalent including English.
  • NVQ 2/3 Customer Services or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a customer/patient services environment.
  • Ability to use computerised systems and the telephone as a work tool.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and in the health sector.

Interview an online interview with a 111 Health Advisor Call Handler from the ambulance service, discussing your skills, experience and providing an opportunity for you to find out more about the role.
