Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated EYFS/KS1 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child within a mainstream primary school in Liverpool. You will deliver tailored learning interventions, track progress, and work closely with teachers, SENCO, and families to promote inclusive education and the child’s social development.

The role requires Level 2 or 3 TA qualification, strong communication, patience, and safeguarding commitment. Experience in SEN and 1:1 support is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Qualified teaching assistant with Level 2 or 3 qualifications.
• Experience providing 1:1 support in EYFS/KS1 settings.
• Strong understanding of SEN and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with SEN in EYFS/KS1.
• Implement tailored learning strategies as directed by the teacher/SENCO.
• Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment and support social development.
• Assist the student with classroom activities and curriculum engagement.
• Monitor and track progress through observations and feedback.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and specialists to ensure a cohesive approach.
• Adapt materials and teaching aids to meet the learner's needs.
