Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student within an EYFS/KS1 setting in a mainstream primary school. You will implement tailored learning strategies and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt materials and activities for the individual learner.

You will monitor progress, foster inclusion, and maintain clear communication with parents and external specialists to ensure consistent support for the pupil's development.

Qualifications

• Qualification in supporting teaching and learning in schools (Level 2 or Level 3 TA).
• Experience as a 1:1 support assistant, ideally in EYFS or KS1.
• SEN knowledge, including learning difficulties or complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student in EYFS/KS1.
• Implement tailored learning strategies as directed by the teacher and SENCO.
• Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment supporting academic and social development.
• Assist with classroom activities and help the student engage with the curriculum.
• Monitor progress through observations and feedback.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure holistic support.
