Job summary

Vocative Consulting is seeking an IT Programme Manager to lead major IT and business change programmes for a well-established not-for-profit organisation. This role drives delivery and ensures change lands across the business, translating complex requirements into actionable deliverables.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will manage a small project management team and work with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure smooth rollout and adoption of new IT solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT software project implementations, system configuration projects, business change and system rollouts.
• Strong grounding in PRINCE2, Waterfall, DevOps and Agile.
• Experience managing project scope, change control and stakeholder expectations.
• Track record of working with detailed specifications and user stories.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with analytical rigour.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM or PMP desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the IT programme and portfolio underpinning the organisation's strategic direction.
• Lead process mapping and requirements gathering with business experts.
• Manage resolution of design and technical issues with project teams and end users.
• Ensure new systems integrate smoothly with existing processes and minimise disruption.
• Build a service-focused culture across IT and the wider business.
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports, including performance and PDRs.
• Set the standard for project governance, best practice and continuous improvement.
