Job summary

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in Buckinghamshire invites applications for Head of Impact and Insight. You will lead the Impact & Insight function, building capability across the charity and turning evidence into strategic insight to inform decisions.

Reporting to the Associate Director, you will develop the Results Measurement Framework, oversee surveys and research, and collaborate with Digital, Data & Technology to embed impact evidence into service improvement and external reporting.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of impact and outcomes measurement.
• Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Comfortable working with data and building dashboards with technical colleagues.
• Ability to connect evidence sources and draw actionable insights.
• Excellent communication of complex information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Impact and Insight team, developing a small specialist team while building evidence and insight capability across the wider charity.
• Develop and lead Hearing Dogs' approach to impact, insight and evaluation, ensuring we can robustly demonstrate the difference we make in the lives of people with hearing loss and understand where we can improve.
• Lead the development, roll-out and ongoing use of the Results Measurement Framework, establishing meaningful outcome measures and ensuring impact evidence is embedded in organisational decision-making.
• Deliver near-term results measurement for priority services while the framework is in development, including Helpful Hours, Community Drop-Ins and hearing dog partnerships.
• Work across the organisation to identify what we need to know, translating strategic priorities, organisational challenges and emerging questions into clear evidence, insight and data requirements.
• Translate complex evidence and analysis into clear, compelling and actionable insight, tailored to audiences including the Executive Leadership Team, Trustees, service teams, Income Generation and Marketing and Communications.
