Job summary

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is seeking a Head of Impact and Insight to lead and build the evidence, data and research capability across the charity. The role reports to the Associate Director of Strategy, Performance and Impact and is based on a hybrid arrangement at The Grange, Saunderton.

You will develop strategies for impact, measurement and evaluation, turning multiple data sources into meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions and priority setting, including evaluating services

Qualifications

• Experience delivering impact and outcomes measurement.
• Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research.
• Ability to translate data into clear insights for stakeholders.
• Experience leading a small specialist team and developing colleagues.
• Ability to operate across organisational boundaries with technology, design and engagement teams.
• Interest in applying AI and emerging analytical approaches to research.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Impact and Insight team and build capability across the charity.
• Develop and lead the organisation's approach to impact, insight and evaluation.
• Roll out the Results Measurement Framework with meaningful outcome measures.
• Deliver near-term results measurement for priority services (Helpful Hours, Community Drop-Ins, dog partnerships).
• Translate complex evidence into clear, actionable insight for executives and teams.
• Collaborate with Digital, Data & Technology to define information requirements and dashboards.
• Provide oversight of surveys, focus groups and interviews for research/evaluation.
• Ensure ethical practices and information governance in data activities.
