Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Redditch is urgently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support a specialist day school serving pupils aged 9-13 with cognition and learning difficulties. You will provide 1:1 and classroom support, helping students access the curriculum and develop communication, social skills, and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND and supporting pupils with SLD.
• Ability to support speech, communication and language needs.
• Confident in working with primary-aged pupils.
• Available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support children with severe learning difficulties.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in classroom activities.
• Support speech, communication and language development.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive social interaction.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
• Support pupils with their individual learning and development goals.
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
