Job summary

Academics is recruiting enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Epsom on an ad-hoc, short-term and temporary basis. Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience, with opportunities for ongoing school-based roles.

Typical hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, with flexible working to fit availability and regular weekly PAYE payments. DBS renewal and safeguarding training are part of our requirements and support from a dedicated consultant is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is desirable.
• A CACHE or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is preferred but not essential.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom management and pupil engagement.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with their learning and development.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapt confidently to different primary school settings.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
