Job summary

Envision Education in High Wycombe is seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Cover Supervisor to supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher and support pupils with pre-prepared work.

QTS not required; ideal for graduates, Teaching Assistants or sports coaches taking first steps into education. Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm, immediate start.

You will maintain a calm classroom, follow lesson plans, and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and the wider school.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• QTS or a formal teaching qualification is not required.
• Ideal for graduates, Teaching Assistants or sports coaches seeking a first step into education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular class teacher.
• Support pupils while they complete pre-prepared work and activities.
• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the class teacher.
• Maintain a calm, positive and supportive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Provide feedback to the class teacher regarding pupil engagement and completed work.
• Support the wider school community when required.
